Royal ‘Iconoclast’: Prince Harry Snapped Partying In The Nude In Vegas?

If Prince William is seen as an iconoclast in a positive sense, who is said to have broken the mold by coming off as a charming royal, the antithesis of the aloofness that has characterized British royalty,  and thereby brought the monarchy closer to the people, Prince Harry has always been considered the wild one. The younger of the two children of Princess Diana has figured in scandals before, but his recent foray into the epicurean lifestyle may yet be the most shocking of all. Just hours ago, photos of the prince in the most unflattering of situations leaked in the Web. Rumor has it that Harry was partying hard with some companions in his Las Vegas hotel suite and some people took nude photos of him.

A scandal such as this involving a high-profile royalty generates a feeding frenzy for the media and the public, and once again the British monarchy will be subjected to public scrutiny. We’re amazed by how the Queen, her son Prince Charles, and her grandson Prince William have managed to keep the monarchy intact amidst criticisms, and how they have carried themselves remarkably well in public. Then here comes Prince Harry. Is he an iconoclast who will, albeit not on his own volition, bring down the House of Windsor? Perhaps not. Perhaps he just wants to be normal and party like any grownup man should. Perhaps he got that rebel in him from her mom, who, despite trying very hard to keep up, later fought for her happiness outside and away from the shadows of her royal past. Perhaps weary of his royal obligations, which include strict adherence to established protocol and a sense of propriety, he just wants to enjoy life away from the public eye. It’s just unfortunate that the “privacy” of his hotel suite didn’t give him that, and people would not let him enjoy even one night of uninhibited fun. Not that the obscene cavorting Harry engaged in is perfectly all right, but everyone at one point in their life is entitled to experience some measure of fun. It's just too bad his popularity undid him.If that's really Harry in those photos.
